A neuroscience research apprenticeship at Columbia's Zuckerman Institute for local high school students. After weekend training sessions in the spring, apprentices complete a seven-week full-time summer research placement in a Columbia neuroscience lab. Highly selective — about 14 students a year.
Open to 10th and 11th graders from BRAINYAC's partner schools and programs serving Upper Manhattan and the Bronx; students are nominated through a partner organization. Preference to students residing in Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx.
