A free annual essay contest run by Signet Classics (Penguin Random House). Each year students respond to prompts about a selected classic novel; five grand-prize winners each receive a $1,000 scholarship plus a Signet Classics library donated to their school or local library. The featured book and prompts are announced each cycle.
Open to full-time students in grades 11 and 12 at high schools in the fifty U.S. states and D.C., and to home-schooled students ages 16–18. Free to enter.
