About
A year-long (August-June) scientific research apprenticeship for New York City high schoolers, working directly with Museum scientists and paid a $2,500 stipend plus 1 CUNY college credit upon completing the program. Students meet with mentors twice a week after school plus 1-2 Fridays a month for program-wide workshops.
Who can apply
Students in grades 10–11.
Must live and attend school in New York City, be in 10th or 11th grade, passing classes for the last three or more semesters, and have completed (or be currently in) the Science and Nature Program, Science Alliance High School Program, or Science Alliance Middle School Program. Applications typically open in January with a deadline in early March (March 6 for the 2026 cycle).
